Internship Guide for students (O6) is a mini-guide developed on the basis of the Internship Guide (O4) and the Internship Guide for tutors (O5), both created in previous stages of the project. Intended for students, this guide presents in an easy-to-understand, easy-to-access and easy-to-use format all the information necessary for a student in the internship, to facilitate his understanding, integration and completion of this stage of training at the workplace. The guide thus contains a summary of the student's rights and obligations, the rules and practical ways of organizing and running the internship, it presents models for the documents that must be drawn up, the purpose and how to use the Trident Educational Platform, a series of related information of logistical and administrative aspects, as well as other data of interest to students.
In order to develop the content of this guide (creation of photo boards, teaching materials, presentation films, 360° photos/videos, trainings, tutorials, cases, procedures, documentaries on interventions and other police measures etc.) materials and digital and IT equipment from each partner's endowment or purchased within the project were used. In his activity, the O6 manager was supported by technicians and administrative staff, who carried out specific activities for the intellectual output created (translations, listings, scans, graphics etc.). The purpose of designing this guide was so that students of police education institutions can use this tool whenever they need information about the internship. Currently, there is no such tool within the partner organizations, so the development of this intellectual product, in itself, constitutes an innovative element.
What is also new is the fact that the guide has a unified approach at the level of the three institutions and contains, centralized and synthetic, the necessary information on how to organize the internship in the partner countries and links to the sections of the educational platform, sections within where they will find educational resources and information related to the internship and can exchange good practices and opinions with colleagues in their country or in partner countries. This will give students the opportunity to obtain the necessary educational information in real time and support the continuity of training during periods when direct contact is not possible (e.g. social distancing imposed by the COVID 19 pandemics).
This intellectual product is intended for students of the three partner educational institutions - SAPSM (RO), HdP (GE) and MRVT (HU). As a result, the outcome of the joint and inter-institutional effort resulted in the following paper which, in fact, is a collection of three Guides, elaborated in the "image and likeness" of the creative institutions, being designed in accordance with the organizational values and culture, based on the applicable legislation and transnational collaboration, with emphasis on the information considered important to be transmitted to the students specific to each partner.
Although the intellectual product is intended for students, the impact of its use also extends to the professional training system of police officers in each partner country. The educational units that organize the internship, the police units where the internship takes place and the tutors will benefit from the fact that the students will know exactly what they have to do during the internship, and if they need additional information they will know where to get them.
In the end, what resulted differently is the content / aspects that each partner considered to have to include in this material. This is actually a mirror, a reflection or, more formally, a list of the priorities and importance aspects related to the internship, at the level of each partner, which its students need to know.
