The Educational curriculum project for tutor’s professional training (O3) complements O2, created in the previous stage. The project responds to the need to achieve a unitary training of tutors, correlated with institutional needs and labour market requirements based on a study program and a training program based on O1.
O3 is the document that synthesizes the learning processes and pedagogical-methodological recommendations that all the partners - SAPSM, HdP and MRVT - have identified during the elaboration activity and which are recommendations for a unitary training of the tutors involved in the development of the internship. The purpose of this intellectual output is to create a unitary framework of practical training in police education units by developing the competences of tutors / mentors in accordance with European trends in education and training. Among the competences targeted during the training based on the educational curriculum, the priority is the ability to develop a practical work program, to facilitate the study for students who have learning difficulties, to objectively assess and think reflexively, to approach situations respecting the principles of non-discrimination, diversity and the legal norms applicable in the interaction with marginalized groups. The target groups of the Curriculum project are tutors/mentors who guide the activity of students in police education during the internship, the policemen professional training institutions, the police units as employers of the tutors and the structures within the national polices responsible for the training of policemen.
The existence of such a curriculum is an innovative element for the two partner institutions in Romania and Hungary, which have not developed such a tool. For all partners, innovation comes from the transnational approach to the activity of creating this intellectual product. The results of going through a training program based on an adequate curriculum of professional training of tutors will be reflected in the quality of training of future policemen, the current students. They will benefit from a unitary qualified training, will have the opportunity to be objectively appreciated, regardless of the place/ institution where they will carry out their practice, because all tutors will use the same methodological and strategic tools in their training. The tutors thus trained will also be able to act towards valuing and promoting social and cultural diversity, equal opportunities and inclusion, contributing to the formation of a non-discriminatory civic culture.
The output for training the tutors was developed in compliance with the necessary conditions for the provision of level 5 qualifications. The units of learning outcome were derived from the professional competences identified as necessary in fulfilling the capacity of tutor. This document envisages the capitalization of professional experiences by pedagogical transposition of the procedures and methods used in the operative units in the practical training of students under the guidance of TSP. The content of the curriculum project aims to ensure an optimal ratio between the theoretical and practical activities carried out by the TSP, by facilitating the use of teaching strategies adapted to the objectives of the internship and the level of training of the student.
The transfer of expertise in the field of training of professional guardians from the partner states, EU Member States, facilitates the implementation of a formal training programme based on an appropriate curriculum, based on a new approach to the specialisation of professional tutors for the mission of training future police officers, contributing to the formulation of educational policies, of the teaching methodologies, the elaboration of the curriculum and the curriculum, as component parts of the curriculum and the management of the educational program.
The output can be used by any public order training institution in the EU. The material is structured on four modules / units of learning outcomes, respectively: 1. TUTOR FUNDAMENTALS, 2. APPLICATION OF PEDAGOGICAL KNOWLEDGE, 3. APPLICATION OF DIGITAL KNOWLEDGE, 4. PROFESSIONALISM.
The knowledge, skills and aptitudes derived from the Vocational Training Standard Project have been complemented by proposed educational content and recommended learning objectives regarding the requirements of the four modules/units of learning outcome. The learning contents are structured thematically, each topic containing the relevant elements to be processed pedagogically and assimilated by the learners, in order to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes specified in the Vocational Training Standard. This output has been developed in the three languages of the project partners, as well as in English. In its elaboration were engaged experts from the partner institutions (management staff, teaching staff, technicians)
Starting from this common framework, the partners selected those knowledge, skills and attitudes/responsibilities that they considered desirable in their own curriculum project for TSP training, developed in accordance with the specific legislation, the identified needs and the particular elements. The specific projects have been developed in the languages of the partners who have developed them and can be accessed on Trident educational platform.
